Girls Day - Shimminie

      Hey!! How are all of you all? Fine? Thats nice!
So... we had some catching up with our secondary sch friend-Shiminnie...its been such a loooooong time since we last seen her... so we decided to meet up with her :D

Went to Bugis to take a look at Bugis+ as we had not visited it since the last time it renovated...hmmm.. still find it rather okay though, amt of ppl and the shops there are still rather okok...

We had our lunch at Kungfu Paradise... i find the name so hilarious..haha.. how can kungfu and paradise go together? Its lyk
...
i dont what to say..haha... its kinda cute anyway... (dun wanna offend the person the create this name... the owner surely say"where got funny u tell me? I think its a perfect match eh... ur name even funnier hor miss >:C .. )
Hmmm... the food wasnt bad...ordered some mushroomie pasta with cream sauce.. actually wanted to take a pic.. but ma sis alrdy eat until the pasta was like ... bleh.. so i took shimminie one instead...which was the meatball pasta...
it doesnt taste bad too..but the meatball was lyk ... hard... harhar.. i feel so evil... i bet all of u are thinking :TALK SO MUCH U COOK LAR... COMPLAIN SO MUCH >:C ... haha...ok fine.. but i must give my honest opinion right? No negative comment = No improvement ^____^....*start spamming complains*

Thenthenthen...we went to gelateria italia.. cause the icecream sitting comfortably at the shelves are practically screamin "EAT MEEEEE!!! " 
So... we decided to get one and share :D We tried Mama's Cookie and Dark Chocolate flavour... .. the dark chocolate flavour one was Shiminnies one...and i prefer the Mama's cookie one better... it has nice cookie bits in them... so nyumie~

*continues poking and jabbing the poor chocolate*...omg.. how awesome... theres a ferrero rocher in the dark choco flavour one ..super excited :D.... if theres a chance u can go and try their icecream.. its not bad :D

then we went round seeing stuffs and went to craftholic to buy their supercute toys as they are having an offer... spend around 20 mins in the shop trying to decide whether to get the small ones or the big ones ... they oso have the human size one toooo.. but they are all so expensive... :C

hmmm... tats about it then... had quite a lot of fun with shiminnie :) (Wanna thank her for her wonderful birthday pressie too !!)

Nyumnyums - #1 (Black Sesame Chiffon Cake)

Love sesame? We do ^^!! Why not make a black sesame chiffon cake this weekend? Instead of the usual pandan chiffon cake, why not try a new flavour? :P

Grind the sesame seeds or blend them to make into a paste :)

5             eggyolks

110  g     sugar

80    g     black sesame paste(get it from Daiso or Isetan ;but we made it ourselves :D) 

80   ml    water

130  g     cake flour,sifted

1.5  tbsp black sesame seeds,ground

7             eggwhites

(Makes 20 cm chiffon tin)

    ~ In a bowl, place eggyolks,1/3 sugar, black sesame paste & water and mix well
     ~ Add in flour & ground black sesame seeds then whisk until combined
     ~ Whisk egg whites & the rest of the sugar until stiff peaks to make meringue, then fold into the egg yolk mixture in 3 additions
     ~ Put mixture into an ungreased chiffon cake tin and knock it against the counter top to release some air bubbles, then bake in a preheated oven of 180⁰C for 30 mins.
     ~ Remove cake from oven and invert immediately until cooled.

Our cake didnt turn out "chiffony".. :( and we decided to change the above recipe and give you readers some tips :)
       ~ Remember that when seperating the eggyolk and egg white, no eggyolk must drip into the eggwhite at all or it would not be able to form the stiff peaks
       ~ Sugar can be added at a later stage ( when its at soft peaks)
       ~ Cream of tartar can be added into the eggwhite to form stiff peaks
       ~ Remember not to overbeat the eggwhite too !

So additional steps to replace step 3:
       //Beat egg whites with wire whisk attachment until slightly foamy. Add cream of tartar, and beat until soft peaks. Add in sugar tablespoon by tablespoon and beat until stiff peaks form and mixture does not slide out of mixing bowl when upturned.

Hmmm... and we were looking for a texture that is akin to pandan chiffon cake...so we found a website that is so wonderful and tot we should share it with you awesome ppl :D

Chuga Chuga Toot Toot to Redang!!

Ho ho!! 2nd post of our blog!! YAY!! After bragging about our cruise trip in the previous post,, I've finally the chance to tell you guys about our trip :D Really sorry for not posting right after we came back!! , I had to work during the weekends, not much time to spare there :C SO now...

BASICALLY, We are going on this cruise trip to learn the ropes on how the staffs manage the whole cruise, other than that, we get to have FREE TIME all to ourselves when there's no compulsory workshops to attend to. Yah, you could somewhat guess the amount of free time we had!! Its like...80%?? HAAHA YAY US~ ( Do Kallang wave '\(^O^)/' )

But... One thing>>Good Point: We get to go to wherever we want :D 
                            Bad Point: Boring!! Boohuuhuu :<
Lemme get to that later kays :d Another thing, even though I mention that it's a trip to Redang, it's not for us, but the other passengers...and that means we don't get to leave the stupid ship AT ALL!!  NOO!! *flips table* (╯°ロ°）╯彡┻━┻  Really a waste of money!! $ ^ $ WAAAAA

Nevertheless, we did have fun throughout the tour ( with our frens obviously!! hmph.)

Phew~lucky finish in time :O FULL~ hehehe We went walk walk at sun deck and saw the most godly thing - SWIMMING POOL!! I WANNA GO!! :D But..sadly..only a few of us wanted to, so, oh well we went back to cabin... and sleep.. Nights :D 

HAAHAA NO. we didn't sleep.. Apparently, they all changed their mind and we are all going to the pool!! Hoorays!! Except that we forgot that it's alr like.. 10.30pm +... We were so excited, we gt changed and went to the pool... ONLY to find it CLOSED *cricket sounds* AWKWARD~" =.= There goes our plan... Whateva~ We went for supper instead ^O^ ( Me & Sis didn't eat though, we're really afraid of becoming.. Fat >:( ) We finally slept at 1.40+ zzZZ

Our official tour begins !! Chef Arman brought us to the Galley to see the preparations made before food is served in the restaurants. The laundry area where uniforms or our clothes are washed at could also be seen!! *Open eyes widely* Look at how big the washing machine is!! You could bathe in it lor!!

Huu~After suuuuch a long post!! This sums up our Redang Cruise trip!! It was really fun!! (Though it's more worth it if you could get off the cruise to Redang) OH and One thing!! If you guys are planning to go in the future, do rmbr to bring ur SWIMWEAR!! DAMN LIFEGUARD >:/ Stuff his mouth with bikini!! I dont care!! Must go swimming one day in S'pore !!
