2012. Coming to an End - #Part III

hmm...okay. So I was supposed to be writing Part 3 for 2012..hmph..ok. i think im gonna be a bit wordy here yea? So pls DUN RUN AWAYヽ(ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ !!  
okay..*calm down*..so imma gonna strt:D

Personally,2012 have been a... rather different year compared to the rest. Why so? Coz it was a year of the many first times, from going to poly, cruise, having a job and many other first times. I bet theres many other little first times along the way but eish... mah goldfish brain is not able to rmbr all...ToT.
2012 was also a year whr we spend the most money... sudden pang of guilt..(╯_╰)*sits in one corner n strts growing mushrooms*

Firstly, we got our ...
CONTACT LENSES
We were actually planning to get them, but wasnt really sure how to ask about havin them ...
So, lookin back, it went like this * looks up in sky* ... ...

 Me, getting ready to go to work ... but waitin for mah sister to be ready.

Then (as usual) mah spectacles kept sliding off my nose and it was so irritating >:( ... so, i rook it out , clean the centre of mah specs and did a little bending.

Bend,bend,bend

clean,clean,clean

bend,bend ...



SUDDENLY , THE WHOLE WORLD SEEMS TO STOP FOR A SECOND,* camera revolves around main actress aka Me*
MAH SPECTACLES BROKE INTO TWO !! OHMAHGAWD... and i was lyk gonna have to go to work soon?! 
and iwas like: OMG wattodo wattodo wattodo...
then i rmbr tat i have a spare glasses,.. but i duwanna wear that.. its uglyyyy *wails*｡･ﾟﾟ･(>д<)･ﾟﾟ･｡
soo, i juz wear mah disposable lenses i bought for Chingay last time and goes to work...

Then came the day where im supposed to make ma new glasses ... but i duwana make a new glasses...D: i wan contacts...

So, i asked the optometrist about havin contacts and stuffs like tat... and i make sure that mah mother was listening so i could get lyk her approval...initially iwas suppose to lyk pay for the specs myself  but mah dad keeps insisting that he pays it for us.. imma feelin touched right here now ｡

and FYI our contact lenses are srsly not cheap. and i really mean it .. its arnd $400 for a pair of them?
and its not lyk coloured or anything its just normal hard lenses contacts.But jyz becoz our degree are srsly high,it was super expensive...
now our eyes are naturally bad.. our optometrist said that its not sth to be able to control.. its lyk 天生的.. or born with it? So we were lyk wearing glasses when we were as young as kindergarden? We didn't really had a chance to experience perfect eyesight :( 
Sigh... no choice.

Secondly, we got our ...

HANDPHONES
Yea!! This year was the first year that we got our first phones. Coz mummy doesnt really lyk us owning one... thus the reason why we only manage to get it lyk this year..
Well, actually,, when i was about to get my phone, and i told them i wanted the pink one... but they told me IT WAS OUT OF STOCK !! 
I felt like i was about to cry soon... haha.. srsly .. i dont why also.. cox i was lyk : then? am i suppose to take white? same as mah sister?and NO... i duwan black.i wan pink.. :(
ookaayyy... sry if the above part might make u wanna slap me .. *GO N DIE ! slap*..haha..coz i totally feel lyk slapping myself rite now..
sooo.. the guy told me i could lyk wait for another week for the stocks to arrive... So i thought okay then, just wait..
so, mah happy sister got her phone first... and theres me still waiting :(
BUT IT IS WORTH THE WAIT:D haha.. coz i luuuv it sooo much and it was lyk cheaper than mah sister by a bit?
and i was lyk totally *happygirl95*.. haha..

okay... sidetrack a bit~
coz there was all the paper stuffs you got to take when you are signing for a line rite? then the guy was like saying he gave it to me alrdy.. but i chck in the bag tat they give and there wasnt any.. and i even showed him the bag..o.O
then nt really sure why his face suddenly have a very bemused look, then he is lyk nvm i print another copy for you...
then i happily take it and chuck it in the bag that they give.(actually im nt really sure wat the paper is for anyways ;O)
few weeks later, when i was doin mah stuffs, i found the papers in mah own bag.*roll eyes*

OKAAAAY ... tat was kinda stupid O.o

Sooo,yeap i guess tat kinda sum up everything about this year?( at least tats wat mah sis told me to post about... nt really sure if im doin it rite ..)

2012. Coming to an End - #Part II

If you've read ma previous post, you've known that we are doing a year end thingy. :P 

And so, lets continue from where I stop the previous post shall we?? :D

Okay...here goes.. (Imma sorry..Bear with me please :<) 

2.First Job

My job as a promoter and our job at Isetan and Frostbite.

As the O levels had just pass, the holidays we are having would definitely be a very long one (think about from Nov-April).

So we were like

So, it's the time where you would find penniless O level graduates going round looking for a job.

At that period of time, we were really desperate to find a job, we look through newspaper, online and even went door to door asking if they are hiring. =//=

Especially when we are busy with Chingay training at the same time as well. *Very hardworking hor -smirks-*

Then, as if on queue, one of my best friend ask if we were interested to work as a promoter, BUT, there's only one position available. :(

Oh well, I decided to take it up since I don't know how many centuries it would take for me before I could find another job. *faints*

And so, I went for the job (YAH. if you realised I don't have to go for an interview at all ) here comes another BUT:  it was really...boring...like..ya.. *cricket sound* 

I work for only a short period of 7 days before I was fired T____T

(or should I say YAY!! O///O)

Apparently, there was some (serious) mis-communication going on there between me and my boss or the manager. ( Seriously, I forgot. I've never once met her in person as well :O)

I'm only given a number where I contact my manger/boss/in-charge. 

I don't even own a cellphone then as well ( I know I know, it's really pathetic ;( )

I called her up to inform her that I will not be free for a couple of days as I was going for training and the most ever so exciting - Poly open house!! :D

So, she says okay and I just went ahead with my activities.

Who knows, when I came back from open house on that evening, my Mum say that the in-charge called up and asked why I wasn't there and stuff, and she said that I don't have to come back the next day.

I was like...

OKAY...nevermind then ;( Although the job was pretty simple ( you just had to sell and promote your stuff which in my case is household items like rice-cooker etc ) and the pay was reasonable like around $6.50/hr,

It's just that I just don't like the fact that I know nothing about what I am selling at all, it's like when customers ask you which is better and you just stand there and go :

Uh..., for don't know how long? *roll eyes*

I look so young and inexperienced also. *sobs* Half the time they would only call me when they need help like:

Customer: -Glances- Look at their item. -Glances again-

Customer: Uh..Miss!! Can help us take this? 

Me: *being helpful always, ya know* Huh? Uh, yah sure sure!!

-scurries off to find ladder- or sometimes I just tiptoed a little.

 :D

So, yah it was VERY BORING and ..let's move on to ma next better job :d

Job @ Isetan

The second job is at Isetan where we work as cashiers.

For me, the experience was really fun ^^.

It was on April when I first started working and I was at the cosmetics department at Shaw house.

I shall just do a quickie.

Uh..It's fun cos you get to see many rich people ( okay, not exactly rich) who can afford to buy the whole entire set of SK II along with expensive perfumes.

I was like OMAHGWAD Holy stuffs O____O *caress* hahaha

It's not something that I definitely could afford :( Sometimes, I feel so jealous that I could stare at the bottles for so long...

I began by helping to pack and slowly learn cashiering meanwhile.

So, as I gain experience, it became easier and more fun. In the beginning, as you would DEFINITELY make many mistakes, alot of voids had to be done.

At that time, I thought it was quite normal until, now when even one single void would get me screaming as it is REALLY VERY ANNOYING >:(

Case of voids would be like: -change of payment methods like from Credit card to Nets

                                            -change of cards

                                            -wanting to use vouchers SUDDENLY

They would be like: Uh..Oh ya I forgot that I have vouchers, can I use them?

I mean of  course you can, but, can't you do it like before I finish the whole transaction or smth?!! I mean like....SERIOUSLY?? How could one forget that you have vouchers on you? another one would be

                                            -forgetting to show member card and AGAIN SUDDENLY REMEMBER

I beg all of you..please don't make things difficult for us :( Try to remember everything before you pay okie? :D

It will make it a better place for you and me ^^ You don't want to be kept waiting isn't it? 

We do not want that as well, so... yah ..Please co-operate..  제발 (jeh-bahl) *puts hands together* kamsahamnida

Another thing that pissed me is when customers gave you a big $1000 and expect you to have enough change when they are only paying for a $100+ thing.

So when you tell them that we do not have enough cash at the moment they would make a fuss and say things like:

Are you sure you don't have? The previous time I came have eh.. =.= 

Uh. Excuse me hor sir/madam, If your math is good enough you should know that your change would be ~ $800+ . 

These days, people uses credit cards more, so what makes you think that there would DEFINITELY be enough cash to change you back :< 

AND.

If I say we do not have enough, I'm just being frank so that you could perhaps use other payment methods. I don't see why I should lie as well * I'm such a good little girl....why should I do that ?? HMPH*  

So...yah..Please be considerate, No??

Okay. So apart from all these strange customers I would meet, I have lotsa fun with my colleagues as they look after me very well :D

The reason I quit this job is because I was facing problems with ma school work. So... Sadly.. I left the job ;(

MOVING ON ^O^

Job @ Frostbite

This job is found online and I was still working at Isetan then. It was a long semester break so, yup, I was having two jobs. :O Amazing right..hehehe I know *shy*

Basically this is a Popsicle store where you just have to attend to customers and give them the flavour that they want. 

It's that simple :D 

BUT (3rd time already...) As the owner owns this stores and two other stores, we had to rotate between this and the other hot dog store. 

The store we were working at is at One Fullerton. Being located near Merlion Park, which was a tourist attraction, there were LOTS OF FOREIGN PEOPLE , and they seems to be there for almost the entire day. 

Yeah. And so, the problem is that the pay at frostbite is lesser than the other store Big Dawg, a hot dog stand and way more boring also. 

I guess that we were just unlucky that it rains almost every time we work *WAE!! The rain loves us!!YAY ;___; *  causing lesser crowds = boring.

But, I prefer working at Big Dawg as I learnt more things and it's more fun.

The Aunty-in-charge taught me how to slice pickles thinly and count stocks and make smoothie :D 

So, at the end of the day, I know how to make a hot-dog bun and smoothie!! YAY!!

The experience was nice. But the working hours are a tad too early -yawns- especially when you have to squeeze with the other commuters -clench teeth-. Night shift are also a little late ( I knocked off at 11pm) and it could be dangerous for us young girls as there are clubs nearby as well. I'm not surprised that one day there would be a drunk dude going: 小妹妹 ~ 跟哥哥玩啊~ ( Hey little girl~ Come play with me will ya~? ) O.O 

*Sigh* So once again, the reason why we didn''t continue the job is because of those reasons above and partly because we went for a school cruise trip. When we came back, we lose all interest and they don't seem like they need us anymore so we just quit. :( 

OKAY!!! IT"S THE END!!

YAY!! Sorry for keeping you guys!! Issit really boring D; Just sharing ya know ;( 

All in all, we are currently jobless until the next holiday where we would become Year 2s !! OH NO!! The horror!! :O 

And... I would just like to say that these experience and memories we have earned along the way through these jobs are something we would never forget :D I hope that the future would be better!!

2012. Coming to an End - #Part I

Say 2012, and the thought where the world is going to end would be in people's mind.

For me, I was kinda scared as well cos who knows, it might really be true :( 

It was predicted that the world is gonna end on 21st Dec because Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth.

This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened, the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

But, with so many people panicking and worrying on 21st dec, the world didn't end after all

*touch wood -___-* 

So, yeah be happy and continue doing what you've always wanted to! 

(heh. this is obviously not the end >:D)

However, apart from the world coming to an end, 2012 is a year with many up and downs for me and ma sis. 

And which brings us to this special post :

It also summarise and close the year proper for a fresh new beginning next year :D

In 2012, we experience many things and also somewhat forces us to learn and be responsible since we pass our sweet 16. T_____T

1.Chingay 2012
Chingay Parade - Asia’s Grandest Street Parade and Party!

This was not our first time joining, so it was not really very terrifying as what we would feel in the first year. 

The first time we joined was in 2011 when we were 15.

At that time, it was our CCA (Co-curriculum activity) - Service Learning Club that gave us a chance to participate in Chingay 2011.

Being under PAYM hip hop dance contingent, we performed for the closing of the parade that involved 2,000 energetic youths for this grand finale segment.

I remembered the first day where we ( me. my sis and ma friend) already had problems finding our training place, which is like total epic fail.
 We even took a taxi down when we realised later on that it is actually nearby. -___- 

From there, we meet the choreographers, trainers and of course everybody else who are performing. 

Though the performance is around Feb 2011, we would begin training as early as Sept 2010.

Yeap!! It's really that hardcore!! 

Apart from the long hours of training, one must go through the blasting hot summer sun that is glaring down on you.

It's really super hot and it's worse if you forgot to apply sunscreen *O*
You will end up looking like a cooked crab and later becoming a burnt charcoal :( 

So much for our whitening efforts >____< 


You might think, why would you guys want to continue training since it is so tiring and stuff?

My answer: Passion :) and the wonderful people in it <3 

Because of the fact that you put in so much effort and time to memorise and perfect the steps, how could I possibly just quit like that?

Especially for the fact that it hip-hop dance, it makes me want to stay even more.

Since young, we've always had a keen interest towards dance
(though I admit I can't dance well ;_____;) actually more towards the contemporary side.

In primary school, we wanted to join Chinese dance, but because of the fees, we gave it up.

Similarly, in secondary school, though it's free, we were afraid that our lack of dance background would cause up not being able to catch-up and for the fact that we don't know anybody in Chinese dance, we forego it as well.

That's why when this opportunity came along, we had to make sure we make use of it and perform our best.


Secondly, the friends and the memories.

Even though we might not know each other in the beginning, we all get to know people around you in the same row and column.

We would go out together to have lunch, gossip and stuff.

Then come the time of performing which is the result of what you have been expecting after all these training, the adrenaline rush that goes through you and the happiness ,
I don't really know how to explain D;

You know that feeling you get when you see the audience cheering for you ? Yeah! That feeling n____n

Because of all these wonderful memories, we decided to join Chingay 2012 and it was a really fruitful one as well :D!!

Though not everybody from 2011 is in this year's parade, it doesn't means that its not as fun.

This year, we all had groupings which makes it more fun.

We are in group L and the best group I've ever known! ^O^ Oh yeah~

We play bonding games half the time, laugh together really loud and meet up to go for training.

That period of time spent together was really super awesome.

Even though we are having our O levels then, I was really amazed that we could still find the time to go for training and manage to catch up with the dance as well even though we joined late.

This year's parade is not hip-hop :< but carrying props with little dance on the way.

The main point is the splashing of the water we are walking in >.< with spades high up in the air!!

It was very fun but cold... *Imagine running down happily when suddenly -splash- ur 'insides' feel so wet and ya you know O.O Especially when the costumes are waterproof it just leave that afdghjkgf feeling on your body :( *

The main dance is when we stop at our positions facing the audience where we would go together forming a whirlpool and then back to our lines again.

One sad thing that happened was, I dropped ma spade!! D:

Without the spade, you could only use your hands to throw water up, which was really little, if you know what I mean =__=

So you could imagine how I feel when I'm still at the walking-in section when a huge wave of water washed the spade outta my hand *wails* -R.I.P spadey, I will rmbr you forever ;____;-

Even though the choreographers said not to pick up the spades no matter what ( as it would spoil the image) , I was too exasperated and keep hollering around at the back to my friends to help me pick up the damn spade floating away from me.

BUT, I don't know for whatever reason...they just can't seem to hear me ;(

[ I think it's because our mouths are covered with mask, I guess they are just hearing: NGH NGHADE!! NGH SCHPADE NGROP! )

WAHH!!! I was so sad I feel like just throwing my prop and run out!! *Sigh*

But, I still continue in the end, where I pick up other people's spades that were floating around as well *grins*
So, it was not bad throughout :D

This year Chingay 2013, we didn't join as we are too busy in poly :<

Overall, throughtout the years I've spent in Chingay, I've really learnt alot as a participant :)

New Paint for Old House

Hulloh!! I know..It's been waaay too long since we sisters had blog :< (last month??)  Mianhae! *Bows* That's cause our exams just passed. AND SO... ...WE ARE FINALLY HAVING OUR HOLIDAYS NOW~ \(^O^)/ but it's like, ending in a few days time :<

So whats up with our life since the last post.. Apparently, as the title above says ^ , we are gonna have a new coat of paint for our whole house. The last time since the wall sees new paint is like....???...4, 6, years ago when we were still in primary school. Therefore, Daddy then decides to paint over the whole house since he have the time :D Unlike previous years,  we get to choose the colour we want for our room this time! Ohmagod *Throws confetti* This is like super awesome because we never once get to customise any thing in this house due to the fact that we never once moved house since we were born . ;____; And that also means that all the furniture were fixed. .___.

Oh well~ So, since we get to choose this time round, what colour did we pick?? Guess!

Yeap. As girls always choose, we chose the most obvious colour - PINK :D

And we wanted this colour: 

But Mum & Dad doesn't like dark colours O.O, so, nope, no Sassy Pink allowed.*1105 Sassy Pink is premium colour , thus it costs more expensive too. All colours have to be close to shade of white :( 

Sigh..doesn't matter :P In the end we chose 1103 Powder Pink instead. 

Doesn't it look nice!! :D It look very sweet isn't it ^^ BUT

Once again, the BUTS...Our walls aren't like what you what expect, smooth and nice... No. =.= Ours is like that: 

Which is like xOx.. Not as nice as what we would imagine with the colour on. Oh well, better than just having pure white ^ ^

Apart from the walls, we shift around the furniture and give the doors a new coat of paint as well. Say yay!! At least we have something abit different for the upcoming new year.! And so, after the painting job is done plus the moving of the furniture, our room looks really nice ( to me D:) But because our room is still messy, I can't take a picture of it to let you guys see :( But I will update again once I'm done clearing!! Yeap!! See ya !!
